For much of the duration of the short documentary, I was in a state of disappointment towards the inability of the government to implement their laws. I could not understand how cruel, businesses can be towards other people, all in the name for profit. But what I did understand better, was that the problem of wages is very complicated. While the agriculture sector is a large industry in California, it is not rendering much profit for the contractors. Contractors want to make sure they milk every penny from the profit. It was terrible to hear that farm workers are paid only 80 cents per sack, an eighty pound sack. They are living in minimum wage. I found it ironic that even when a government representative is on the fields, the injustices towards farm workers was clearly present. The failures of government and regulation are obvious.
